Writing about the rhythms of relationships; family, friends and lovers.

Picture
I wrote my first novel, Jenny & Brian, in seventh grade. My classmates raved, and I’ve been writing ever since.

These days, I write romantic comedies about smart, complicated women juggling life, love, and everything in between. My debut novel, Available to Chat (Booktrope), published under the pseudonym Jacy Sutton, received enthusiastic media coverage on top-rated Minneapolis–St. Paul outlets, including drive-time radio and the local NBC affiliate. My novella Just One You won the Shoreline Indie Award, and my essays have appeared in The New York Times, HuffPost, Your Tango, and PBS’s Next Avenue.

I live in Minneapolis, where I balance writing with real life: hanging out with my beautiful family, walking the dog, and playing a mean game of mahj.
